I am capturing a DVCPRO tape with 4 audio channels, but FCP will only let me capture 2 audio channels at a time. The manual says that you need to make 2 passes at capturing to get all 4 audio tracks. Is there a way to get all 4 at once? Using a Panasonic Dvcpro50 Deck. Thanks!

The manufacturer of the deck says that you can only do 2 channels at a time. I’d believe them. That was an issue for a LONG time with that deck, that really made us angry. Panasonic cameras recorded 4 channels, but their decks only output TWO? They did come out with a more expensive deck not long after, that did 4. It’s too long ago for me to recall what it was.
