I recored 4 channels of audio using an XL1s. When I play the tape from a deck and montior the audio I can hear all the channels there together and mixed. When I play the tape as I prepare to capture in Premiere I hear all 4 channels as well. However, after capturing the clip only 2 channels are present. Can anyone fill me in on the proper way to capture and edit 12-bit 4 channel audio in APP 1.5?

    Thanks!

You can’t. Premiere only captures (the first) 2 channels. You’ll either need to capture twice, changing the setting on what your XL1 outputs (if that’s even possible), or capture using another program, like Scenalyzer.

and they call it premiere PRO 1.5.
they got most of the editing down.. but things like audio and archiving and effective dual processor use have a long way to go..
    AND I’am a fan….
    regards
