I just bought Soundsoap 3 after running the demo for a while. Demo is here:

Works real well and is quite simple. The izotope stuff is the “gold standard” but is about 2x as expensive. I found the SS3 plugin quite good. They have an app store version which is cheaper, but It’s the standalone app only and doesn’t include the plugin. I bought directly from their website: https://www.soundness-llc.com/soundsoap3.html . The manual is very short, but definitely read it. 🙂

I’m partial towards iZotope RX3 at the moment. But curious about other solutions like SoundSoap as Charlie mentioned.

Izotope kicks butt, but Sound Soap is quite good. definitely worth grabbing the demo…

May 8, 2014 at 11:28 pmIt may also depend on your workflow. I use RX3 standalone and it’s great but I’ve seen others say it’s not so good as a plugin in X. For broadband noise reduction as a plugin in X, Sound Soap might do the trick.

I downloaded the RX3 advanced and the dialogue denoiser is nothing short of miraculous. It’s probably worth the price tag just by itself.
I definitely will try out the SoundSoap plugin as well.
