  3D text object and arrangement

  Hello:

  I am new to Zaxwerks (invig pro, 6.5 AE), and have a simple question about 3d text (I am at the office, and do not have access to software here). I created a cross, much like the glass one in the tutorial, and 5 seconds into the composition, want 3D text to appear. I tried creating the text with Zax Invig in the same “scene” as the cross, and easily did so, but the text went behind the cross. Is there an object arrangement button I missed to bring the text to the front? Also, can I apply the AE “type” on effect (similar to typewriter effect) on this object, or is that limited only to AE-created text?
