  3D Text Not Showing Up?

  Hey,

  I’ve just been diving into Element and find that ‘sometimes’ things don’t show up back in After Effects, even though they are visible in the Element interface.

  This happens mainly with 3D text or 3D models brought in other than through the default ‘library’.

  For example, I’ll make some 3D text as taught by Andrew’s tutorial, apply a texture, assign a Group and return to After Effects… but the text is nowhere to be found. I figured it might be centered somewhere off-screen so I’ll search around for it using the Particle Replicator > Position XY or Position Z controls. No luck!

  So I try the World Transform controls. Still can’t find that text.

  Mmmm… I figure it’s just something simple I’m missing because when I go back into the Element interface, there is my text – all nice and shiny. But back in AE, gone!

  Would someone please help me out? I’m pretty sure it’s going to be one simple setting, somewhere, that I’m missing… but I don’t know what that may be.
