Hello everyone, I’m currently working on a project in stereo 3d, but I’m working on a computer that is unable to view it. I have a 3d TV and 3d bluray I’d like to preview my work on, but no 3d blurays. I managed to get a clip of my project down to 2GBs, my question is will my tv be able to recognize and process the 3d signal if it is coming from a dvd?

If the video is encoded in 3D side-by-side format, your 3D TV might actually recognize the 3D signal from a DVD and display it correctly. But I would test this first before trying to use do this with a real job.

We have done a few 3D Blu-ray screeners this way knowing that 3D Blu-ray requires a different encoder and codec from 2D. Some clients say these discs work, while others say they do not. It depends on the player and 3D TV.

Thank you so much for you help Mr. Stephan. I’ll test some on a DVD and see if it works.
