3D Shadow No Show
Hi,
Can you help me with the right settings?
I’m doing a simple camera track, created text, camera and light.
Enables shadow casting but I’m having trouble showing the drop shadow up.I know I’ve done it right because it showed up once when playing and flipping the 3D Draft button…but it does not do it again.
I’ve closed/opened AE but no avail.
Any ideas?

Do you have a layer that catches the shadow? You need a 3d layer that matches the perspective of the table and “catches” the shadow of the text. Here’s a few links about Shadow Catchers:

Here’s a latest try. Simpler but still no shadow cast.
Any guideline maybe on AE settings?

Check whether you have Enabled the Cast Shadow Option or not in Light Settings(Double Click on Light).
By default it is Unchecked.Vishesh Arora

Also, check to see if the floor layer has Accept Shadows turned on.

Your first post was related to an AE 3D Camera Tracker shadow casting issue.
Your second post AND its corresponding image are totally unrelated to your thread title. Please post in a logical, relevant manner. If you’re new to AE, please post .
