You can construct a 3D cube from square precomps turned into 3D layers. Do it mathematically using easy units, like 100 pixels for the edge of the cube, and you can align them with precision, 50 pixels away from center, rotated 90 degree multiples. Parent them to a 3D null at 0,0,0 and thereafter use the null to manipulate the cube.

Yeah, but what about the extruded logo and text on some of the sides?

Either put the text onto one of the precomps of make it a layer of its own with a slight offset from the cube face.

If you want to do it in actual 3D, C4D comes with AE.

I think the original one was made in 3ds max because of the HDR reflections on some of the sides.

Yes, if you’re trying to make something that looks exactly the same, a 3D program or a plugin. 3ds Max seems like a bit of an overkill for a rotating cube, but if you have the program, sure.

Can you suggest plugins that can make this exact same look?
