3D Rotating Cube
Posted by Chris Mathews on July 2, 2016 at 12:01 pmI’m trying to copy this popup design, and I am not sure if its made in After or 3ds max. First thing that comes to my mind is Zaxwerks 3D Invig, but I cant figure out how to add multiple 3d objects and align them in 3D space cube. Do you have any idea how this can be achieved in After?

July 2, 2016 at 4:59 pmYou can construct a 3D cube from square precomps turned into 3D layers. Do it mathematically using easy units, like 100 pixels for the edge of the cube, and you can align them with precision, 50 pixels away from center, rotated 90 degree multiples. Parent them to a 3D null at 0,0,0 and thereafter use the null to manipulate the cube.

July 2, 2016 at 9:21 pmEither put the text onto one of the precomps of make it a layer of its own with a slight offset from the cube face.
If you want to do it in actual 3D, C4D comes with AE.
