    Hello,

I just upgraded to the new Sony Vegas Platinum 11.

When I was playing with 3D footage it seems to me that that the highest quality I can get for output 3D rendering is 1920x1080i, (16Mbs) shared for left and right eyes. If I use e.g. side by size method, it effectively means downgrading the movie to 2x 960x1080i.

Is there a way to produce full HD akin blue ray 3D, i.e. 2x1920x1080i (or 1920x2x1080)i?
How about progressive (instead of interlaced) output?

Note that I found my Vegas to renders at max. 16Mbits (the case of interlaced output) and 26Mbits (the case of progressive output). I refer to Sony AVCHD H264 format. Do these limits really apply?

If I consider Sony HDR-TD10e camera and compare the highest output quality for rendering with my Vegas, then I have for 2D: 1920x1080p (26Mbits) and for 3D 2x960x1080i (16Mbits). Is that rigth? One would expect say 26Mbits for 2D and 30-35Mbits for 3D!
The difference in 2D vs. 3D resolution and frame frequency is huge and it rises question: Does the provided 3D visualization effect pay off for downgraded render quality of the base footage?

    Thanks Libor
