Is there a way to apply an AE effect to a 3D primative?

My guess is no… because I have been trying to apply a shatter effect to a 3D primative (created in Zaxwerks) and have not been successful.

Is there something I am missing or this is beyond the capacity of Zaxwerks proanimator.

    Hi Joe,

You can apply Shatter or other AE Effects to your Zaxwerks Primitive (or other objects as well). When using Shatter make sure to change the view from Wireframe to Rendered, and you should be able to see the effect. The sample picture is a primitive with the Shatter effect. You can take a look at the picture to see where to change the “View” setting to “Rendered”.

    Best,
    Ed
