3D photo effect
Does anyone know how they do those 3D photo effects that they use on the History channel for old historical photos, the ones where the foreground subject seems to be floating in front of the background?

After Effects! You can do it within FCP and or Motion. You need to cutout your Subject/s and Background create layers for each in Photoshop or After Effects.
