3D newbie
Hey all,
I did a little troubleshooting this morning and fixed a problem so I thought I’d share it with you and see if anyone else has a had similar issue.I was working in After Effects and Cinema 4D to to create a 3D object. Upon a recommendation from a tutorial on Lynda.com, I changed my bpc in AfterEffects from 8 to 32 to work in 3D.
After finishing my project, I went back to a different comp that was not 3D and had a lot of issues when I was trying to use RAM preview. Issues included audio dropping and the RAM preview not playing all the way through. I emptied my Disk cache several times and still had the same issue.It was after this I remembered I had switched my bpc to 32 and changed it back to 8 and that has fixed the problem in my 2D comp.
Wondering if anyone else has experienced this and also, what is happening in AE when I go from 8bpc to 32.

32bpc requires 4x the RAM that 8bpc uses.
