3d nested comp issues
I’m having some issues with a 3D comp – maybe someone can give me some advice.
I have two comps: The first is primarily an AI vector file with some basic animation, kept entirely 2D – so it should be infinitely scalable. The second is the main comp, which is 3D, and has a camera.
However, when I get the camera up nice and tight into some of the detail of the precomp, lots of resolution gets lost. I’m aware of the continuously rasterize/collapse transformations switch. However, all combinations of this switch on/off in both Main and Pre-Comp do not yield the results I’m looking for. They all change it in some way.
I’ve also tried manipulating the 3D switch in the Precomp for all these options as well. Still to no avail. With 3D & Collapse switches set on for both comps, the precomp is missing a lot of information.
How should I be doing this?
