I’m not aware of any plug-in for FCP that let’s you load LUTs. Really FCP just isn’t built that way — there’s no concept of a monitoring LUT — you’re pretty much working in one (video) color space. I’m not sure what exactly you’re trying to do, but probably you’ll want to stick with off-line in FCP and do your effects in Shake or AE (which both support LUTs) or different CC solution.

Thank’s for the answer. I’m going to use FCP to place special effects animations from some PC into my HD material, and then looks at complete output to Apple’s 30″ Cinema display.

You write that After Effects supports LUT’s (also 3D LUT’s ?), but does that mean, that I can make a reference movie from FCP, and use AE as an output program, and then use LUT’s (I’m a novice with the LUT’s, as You can see 😉 ) ? Or are there another 3.part software, that could “do the job” ?

When using the cards from either KONA or BlackMagic, do You know if I’ll get 10 bit’s pr. channel, or “only” 8 bit ?

    With kind regards
