I need to take a clients logo and spin it and then have the globe on the back. I am currently using shatter to create the extruded text and cc sphere to create the globe with a mask covering half of the earth image to create half a globe (then extend the mask to create the rest of the globe. As you can see it is “working” but I am wondering if anyone can help point me in the direction to make it great.

I am open to buying a plug in but want to make sure it is the right one.

    thanks for your help.

    cheers,
    jeff

Using a true 3D plugin inside AE would make it better. The new Zaxwerks Invigorator Pro can help.

All you need is to create a sphere and use the same image you used with CC Sphere as a texture.
