    Heyya…

Can anyone give me any tips on how to make 3D lines in a scene that will wrap and fly around text, or objects in a scene?

An example of what I am reffering to can be seen in the Spring 2005 demo reel on the “Charlie Company” website ( https://www.charlieco.tv/default.aspx )… (prob the best demo reels I’ve seen on the net!) The section I am reffering to is near the beginning when “Dubline” is written in the scene… another example may be seen in this video
( https://www.jengajam.com/r/Shitty-Bum ) …the name of that one sounds bad, but the video is quite cool…

Thanks alot, I really appreciate anyone taking the time to help me out…. Also, if you know of any other cool demo reels on the net, please post some addresses…..

    Cheers,
    Mike

probably your best best is 3D stroke from Trapcode. Do a search for 3D Stroke in the archives and check out the trapcode website.

Alternately, and probably better is to use a 3D program. You can have more control over your lines and the benefits of true 3D space. If you have a 3D program try playing around with sweep nurbs (I think that’s what they are, I can’t remember)
