I have some 3d layers parented to a null object that moves slowly forward on the Z-axis. At some point when I was doing some masking, the null stopped moving on the Z-axis (x and y work). You can move the z position numbers but the object doesn’t move.

In a comp I created days earlier (in the same project), I made an object 3d as a test and was able to move it along the z-axis.

Then I created a new comp with just a solid, I made the solid 3d, and it moves along the x and y but not the z.

Is there a setting that I don’t know about that I activated?

I thought maybe I had some 2d layers in between the 3d layers but that doesn’t explain why when I create a new comp with one solid, it doesn’t work.

    Thx for any help.

Try checking the “Collapse Transformations switch” (aka Continuously Raterize), cathy names, No… looks like a little Sun next to the Shy guy… 3D precomp play nice when that’s on.

Also, make sure your composition view is set to “Active Camera” and not “Front.”
