3D Invigorator PRO v7 adding keyframes on its own
Posted by Tj Smith on January 22, 2014 at 9:33 pmWe are having problems with our new 3D Invigorator PRO v7. At times, the plugin is randomly adding keyframes which messes with our animations. Our art department has both a mac and pc and it happens on both. Anyone else having this same issue? We didn’t have this problem with earlier versions. Thanks!

January 23, 2014 at 8:25 pmHi Tj,
Can you send your project file to me? My email address is ed@zaxwerks.com
Please let me know when this occurs and if possible, steps to reproduce the issue. If you do not have any steps, please let me know when you discover keyframes are being added. Are you finding them after coming out of the Set-Up window? Thanks.
Best,
Edward -

Don’t worry…I’ve been having this problem too. I see it happening when I duplicate comps and layers.
I also see it happening whenever I goto the Zaxwerks GUI. If I tinker with my “view” it’ll key frame the camera view.Gene

March 6, 2014 at 2:45 amHas there been any resolution on this issue? Because I’ve been having the same problems with it. It cost me a couple of extra hours on a project I’m working on and also caused me to get yelled at, neither of which were particularly enjoyable. I’ve been having issues with it adding keyframes on the camera track when I cycle into and out of the set up window for some time now, but since the last update, it’s been randomly doing it on object tracks too. I’ve noticed that sometimes it does it when I click back and forth between my After Effects comps, especially if I am using a nested comp as a texture map. I hope that there is a solution soon, because I can’t justify using the software if it costs me so much time backtracking and fixing bugs.

April 15, 2014 at 3:23 pmHate to bump an old thread, but I was wondering, still nothing on this? This issue continues to make working with Invig Pro very tedious. It does it all of the time and I can’t figure out why or what to do about it. Anything?
Thanks,

April 15, 2014 at 4:29 pmHi Cliff,
I too am having the same issues still. I spoke with Zaxwerks and they are looking into the issue. However, that was some time ago. It is very frustrating to say the least. I too have been trying to figure out how to make it work or to see what may be causing it, but haven’t been able to come up with a solution. -

April 15, 2014 at 7:26 pmI love and always have loved working with Invigorator Pro. That being said, I wish that they would use this forum as it is intended, to help users PUBLICLY solve their issues so that others that may be having the same problems have a resource to find solutions. On so many of these threads I see them ask the poster who’s having an issue to send them their files, then never hear another word about it in those threads. They may in fact be offering solutions to that one poster, but by not sharing that publicly, they leave so many of us that are having the same issues in the dark. It seems less than genuine to me.
I totally get wanting to control the narrative about their product and not wanting this to turn into an environment where people do nothing but complain or denigrate their products. But this is a professional forum that they choose to participate in. It should be a place where they honestly and openly engage their users and provide help, even if it sometimes puts the product in a less than favorable light. It’s called accountability. I will forgive a company if they make a complex product, like Zaxwerks does, and there are bugs from time to time. What I have a far more difficult time doing is forgiving that company if they choose to ignore us, the users, when those situations arise. Even a “we don’t know, but we are working on it, would be a better response than none at all.
I know that they have to have seen this thread because it’s been here for a while and Edward replied to it in January. I just don’t get why, we’ve heard nothing else from them since then. Especially considering that this is where you get directed to when you go to the support selection on their website. To say that it is frustrating is very much an understatement. At some point I have to start considering other options because it’s becoming less and less productive for me to use the product. But maybe it’s just me that feels this way though. I don’t know.

April 23, 2014 at 7:16 pmHi Cliff,
I sincerely apologize as this thread is not displaying correctly on my computer so I was not able to see the responses in this thread nor did I receive any email notifications. It wasn’t until we received an email from Eugene recently that we were alerted that there multiple responses in this thread. Again, we are not trying to ignore the issue or especially our users who are running into frustrations with this issue.
I do agree that this forum is a public discussion and nothing should be hidden. We do help everyone resolve their problems on the forums even if it ends up being an email discussion. However, you do provide a good suggestion of updating the post with the end results. We will be sure to do a better job of updating all the threads so any user who is doing a search can find answers easier.
In regards to the issue with duplicating keyframes, we have been trying to tackle this issue now for a while but it has been a very tricky issue to track down. At this current time, we have not figured out what exactly is causing the issue except that there may be plug-in conflicts. One thing we were able to do recently was to re-save a project file that was having this problem and then re-sending the project file to the issue. This fixed the issue from re-occurring and hopefully it will fix some of the problems that you guys are running into. If possible, please send the project file to me and see if we re-save the project for you. This may help prevent the issue from occurring again in the project file that you are working in.
As soon as we have a fix, we will definitely let everyone know about this. Thanks for your patience regarding this issue.
Best,

April 23, 2014 at 7:30 pmSorry, there was a typo in the previous post. I meant we were able to re-save the project file and re-sending the project file to the user, which fixed the issue.
