    Hey everyone,
Question: I have a 2d football and want to fake a 3d file… is there a way? The football is from a side view. I just want to do a partial rotation not a full rotation, but make it look like a full football. Any thought?

Thanks for your ideas and help!

    Hi,

I would suggest you to create a 3D football in Invigorator or in a 3D program.
Here is an example of an Invigorator “only” football that is a part of a series of objects I am working on:

OK, That was a great football. How did you do that in Invigartor? I tried to do something like that a few months ago and had no luck.

    Hi Zac,

It’s easy to create the shape of a football in Invigorator. A simple tiny circle (Like the one used to create a sphere) with the “Shallow Half Pipe” edge will get you there. Adding a couple of outlined closed paths will get you the laces. The difficult part to sell realism is to create the textures.
You must have the patience to paint your bump maps, transparency maps for the holes… If you are not patient then buying the map on the net would be an option.

    Salut.

Serge. I also struggled to build a football with Invigorator. Yours looks fantastic! Could we buy your texture map or better the whole AEP?
    Thanks.

    Hi,

I sold a load of Invigorator compatible 3D Objects to different stations including AEP… The AEPs are a good source of learning the tricks as I mostly create all maps within AE.
