First thing: I am looking for a model of an F16 that I can import into AE7 and manipulate with Zax Invig or Cinema 4D, I have found a few and I realise that probably I will have to pay for a good one; right? But what is a good poly-count? I will need a pretty high level of detail but I don’t know what that amounts to.

Also, the markings I need for the plane are pretty rare (Greek Airforce) what is the best way of adapting the 3D model, in AE or C4D?

    Any other thoughts welcome.

I would say you’ll want upwards of 50,000 polygons for high detail. Can’t speak to Zax, but if the materials and UV’s are properly assigned and it comes in a supported format (.obj, .3ds, .fbx, etc.) it should just be a matter of swapping out the bitmaps in the materials.
