3d Eye Replacement
Hello. I’m about to make a short film and I’m trying find a way to replace the eyes of a puppet, so I can give the eyes movement. I’ve trawled the web but all I can find is iris color replacement. How would I go about doing it in after effects. I know I would need to track the eyes or face. The eyes are white, so all I need to do is add the iris and have it move around on a transparent 3d sphere that is motion tacked to the face/eye. Should I add some tracking makers to eye. Hope this makes sense. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Not sure if this is quite what you had in mind, but with a bit of cleverness it could work.

Thanks for replying. Yeah that is close but not sure it will give the proper effect. I’m going to try and do a detailed face track then use a plugin called power sphere and attach that to the tracking data for the eyes. Also try this tutorial https://www.vdodna.com/tutorials/iron-man-hud/
