3D Extruded Graph Effect
Hi,
I am trying to create a 3D graph effect from a 2D video source – basically I ned to be able to render in 3D space a 3D element created/extruded from a 2D plane to create a 3D element I can then spin or pan round in AE with a 3D camera.

I used to be able to do this in earlier versions of AE with Digieffects Fantazm Pixxy plugins but cannot seem to find an equivalent that can create this within AE CS5.
If anyone can recommend a good route that would be much appreciated!

Free Form like Dave suggested can do the job quite well.
If you have a bit more cash to spend I recommend FreeForm Pro- it can do a lot more than the basic one and it’s 3d displacement capabilities are quite impressive.
