i’m working on a 3d animation in ae and i’ve used solids to build my floor and walls. each wall is precomposed and contains multiple solids scaled and stretched . now i want to replace those walls with photoshop files. is there a way to export the precomposed walls that i’ve made at the correct size, ie the size that they are in my main 3d comp. for example some walls are solids stretched to dimensions upwards of 5000px.

and my floor is one solid scaled way up. the walls are placed throughout the environment to create hallways which the camera moves through. now i want to create a carpet in photoshop that fits those hallways. even if i put a mask on that solid (to get the shape of the hallways) how can i export the floor from ae at full size so i’ll have a guide to use in photoshop to create my carpet? is that enough info? thanks!-richard

    Open your precomps.
    Choose Composition>Save frame as>File
It will add that frame of the precomp to the render queue as a psd.
Make sure to go into the render settings and change the resolution to “full.”

For the carpet, you could try precomping the solid and doing the same as I stated above.
Or, you could look at the size of the solid and the scale, then do the math and create a psd that size.
