    Hello,

I’m making this animation, where there are all kinds of 2d layer turned in to a 3d object. like for example a 3d bus entirely made of 2d layers in after effects. These layer are all combined in to 1 composition wich is imported in the final composition. Attached to the bus is a wiggle. But when I move forward in my timeline objects that are in the bus like the steering wheel come out of the bus.

Does anyone has this problem before? Or does anyone knows how to fix this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Greetings, Sam

    Hi Sam,

Sounds like the wiggle is affecting all the layers that make up the bus separately. The wiggle adds random values, and there’s no reason to expect the random value applied to one of the layers will be the same as any of the others.

What you need to do is add the wiggle to a null object and then parent all the bus layers to this one null. If you want to wiggle the bus in z-space too, you’ll have to make the null 3D. You can also specify whether you want the bus to wiggle more in one direction than in the others – see my tutorial on youtube, link below.
