3d camera tracker to stabilize shots

You know it’s weird, I had the exact same thought last night (and NO, fellas, I don’t spend all my waking hours thinking about this!)
I think camera tracking pinpoints a part of the image that you can attach an effect to so that it moves in the same direction, but I don’t think you can use it to stabilize an image the way you can in After Effects. If I remember the Video CoPilot tutorial, the image spins and moves around and you need to do a lot of cropping, which will be no problem if you’re shooting 4K.

Thanks for the reply Duke, the cropping would depend on the amount of stabilization applied but it by that you just smooth the vertical motion for example.

there must be away to smooth movement using the 3d camera tracker I just cant figure out how
