    Hi Everybody,

a very basic question – almost a bit embarassing: I did not work with 3D layers for a while and have seemed to forgotten some basics: I have a couple of layers in a 3D Environment, then I added the Camera Layer, now I want the Camera to fly along thoses layers, but when I play with the Parameters, such as Position, Orientation and so on, it just moves on the Z-Axis in & out, and panning and tilting on the X & Y Axis, how can I make the camera itsself move along the X & Y axis?

    Thanx a lot.

    Sascha

You have the camera set to auto-orient towards its point of interest. The camera is actually moving, but it’s also turning.
You need to turn off the auto-orient/point of interest
    or
You need to move the point of interest too
    or
You need to parent your camera to a null object and move the null (which is often how pros animate their cameras since, when you rotate the null’s y rotation in this scenario, it gives you a perfect orbit)
