    Hi!

I’ve tried of couple of times to import camera info from RPF files generated by lightwave and xsi but the result are always off? Let’s say I have a 3d layer solid center screen, after the import it ends up very far off screen, and goes in the wrong direction when the camera starts moving (ideally it would register to the 3d rendered layers…) Do I need to manually alter some settings in AFX (point of interest?, lens?, position of my afx 3d layers,). Any help would be welcome. Tnaks a lot.

    Hi,
i import camera data from Lightwave to after effects with the transmotion utilities from AL Street (ats-3d.com).
That works usally pretty well. In this case Lightwave meters are converted to pixels in after effects. So the starting position of the camera in After Effects in pixel should be the same as the starting position of the camera in LW in meters. What also might be an issue is that the axes are mirrored in After Effects.

I have found that upon import AE reverses the position motion. You have to reverse the keyframes for the position animation.
