    If you already have Invigorator, but not the time and/or skills to make a specific ball, Serge (head above, and ethical IMHO because he’s not plugging himself) has a nice set of pre-made sports equipment, many balls included, here:

    You should be able to use the same technique (beginning) to put a ball texture (I agree this part can be tricky)on a sphere with CC Sphere and rotate away.

    Ummm – do you really need a ball? or is CC Sphere what you need, which allows complete rotation of view. Make sure your source document is twice as wide as it is tall.

    For a “real” 3D ball, you can use Invigorator as described above, or there are a number of free 3D apps that can do something this simple… I’d start with
