    Greetings-

I’m sure I’m missing out on an obvious answer to this problem, and it probably involves math (not my strength) so I’m turning to you all who can probably answer this very easily. I’ve got some 4×3 video exported from FCP that I’m compressing. Using cleaner with the Sorenson 3 codec I have no problems making clips 320×240. The problem is my boss would like the clips to be 360×270 so that the height would be the same as the 16×9 clips we compress at 480×270. When I attempt this I get unviewable diagonal lines. So can anyone help me either make 360×270 video or explain to me in a way that my boss would believe why this is not possible?

    Thanks in advance,
    -Ed

Not sure if Cleaner or FCP allow you to scale your video to that resolution, or which application used to set those dimensions. And although it is optimal to scale in halves (640,320,160…480,240,180), I don’t understand why it would look THAT bad. Squeeze lets you do whatever dimensions you want. After Effects too.
