3500 by 768
I am exporting a project that is 3500*768. I have no problems exporting as animation but I want to be exporting to Mpeg 2 since the program I am moving specifys it. Is this a possablity with compresser or fcp export options??

Use Compressor and select any of the MPEG-2 options.

I have a feeling that MPEG 2 files are locked to standard 720×480 NTSC or 720×576 PAL. I dont think MPEG2 supports custom sizes it’s a restricion of the codec, that’s what i’ve found when using cleaner anyway.

I’ve had that myself. If you select an M-PEG2 codec, you do not get any other options for frame sizes. I think compressor imagines that you are compressing for a ‘telly’ so it will only give you PAL or NTSC scanning standards. Not much help I know, but it ain’t you…

I think MPEG-2 requires frame pixel dimensions divisible by 16, so 3500 isn’t a valid size for an encode.
