Hello! I hope you can help me.

I live in Romania, where there aren’t many mac users, aren’t many film editors so you are my only hope.

I need to add sound to the dailies tapes coming from telecine, which have no sound.
In avid I would capture the image in a 24 project, I would synch the clips, then I would choose autosequence and I would have a sequence identical with the original tape, then, I would make an insert edit to tape making sure I have the right frame rate.

How can I do that in FCP? I am sure there must be a simpler way than I think. But how?

I can only think to capture the entire picture on tape then synch take by take from clap (in a 25 project) but use the “fit to fill” comand by each take….And then insert edit. Logically speaking I have to speed up the sound with 4% (25/24).

    I would appreciate any help.

    Many thanks in advance!
