I have images with clipping paths that were created in illustrator CS2 which will import into After FX 6.5, but when trying to import into After FX 7 I get the error message

“After FX warning the sequence has 23 missing frames. (33::44)”

Does anyone know what this means.

    Cheers

Ususally, that happens when AE thinks you want to import a sequence: file001.ai, file002.ai, and so on … but the error occurs when there are no files between file001.ai and file024.ai.

Are you importing images numbered in a similar way? If so, make sure that “Illustrator sequence” or “image sequence” is not checked.

Ok That solved one part of my problem,

Now the AI file is coming in but the layers that are images with a clipping path seem to be blank in AFX7, though it works fine in AFX 6.5!

I have checked out the files in Illustrator and they seem to be fine, I can’t seem to work out how the flatten an image and clipping path in Illustrator without flattening the whole document
