32 vs. 8 bit pixel format
Read something about it but, in plain english, what’s the advantage for 32 bit vs traditional 8 bit Vegas format ??? I’m beggining to work with an EX3 (amazing camera!) and want to know if there is any advantage to “change” to 32 bit with the XDCAM files…I think are 4:2:0 color space..I’m not sure… somebody share some “light” about this please… I’m working with Vegas 8.0c …

Some projects do indeed benefit from 32 vs 8, there is a great article by Glenn Chan on the differences and comparisons.
Because so much of our work lately involves sky and landscapes, we have a lot of subtle gradients, so no matter what the source, we benefit from 32 bit due to the almost-always color correction work.Douglas Spotted Eagle
