Sorry another late SDX 900 question! This camera doesnt have the varicam choice of 60hz or 59.94hz.So I wonder is the 30p real 30p,or always 29.98,or do you have to set it some way to be 29.98.
Also should the TC be set to DF or NDF

I want to make it 28.98p

    Thanks again

If it’s a US camera it’ll be 59.94 systems frequency, so when you set 30 fps the “real” speed is 29.97. As far as DF or NDF, both are possible, check with client for their preferance. If for broadcast, it’s usually DF so that the TC equals the screen time. Your confussion probably stems from the fact tyhae at 24fops there is no DF only NDF by default.

    Hi John

Yes its a US model,so no problem.Iam used to (PAL) shoots, this DF/NDF was a mystery for ages.I learnt the DF for broadcast rule, but now some editors tell me,shoot in NDF always,as they can add the drop frame themselves, and sometimes cant edit on a drop frame?
Thanks again for your continued advise, really helps me out.
