    Hi,

Really sorry if this has been posted before, I took a long look and couldn’t find a clear answer. I need to give specs for a series of webisodes that will also be delivered on dbeta for the special features on a DVD. They want a video look. It was suggested we shoot 30p since the material will need to be de-interlaced for the web anyway, but will that affect the dbeta delivery? Or is it better to shoot 60i, keep the video look, and de-interlace in final cut on output for web? Thank you.

If they want video look, you need to shoot interlaced.
    De-interlace later for the web.
Sure you can shoot Progressive and re-interlace later for the DVD, but this workflow makes no sense when you can shoot interlaced.
    Cheers,

I shoot everything 30p, and I put the work on TV via Beta SP, and also on the Web and in DVDs, never had a problem with interlacing issues.
