Hey everyone, someone hired me to edit some video footage he shot in “HD” on his Canon powershot G9. I didn’t know he shot this on a hand held digital camera until i was noticing file issues, and realized all the files were recorded at “30 fps” onto his memory card. Adobe seems to crash when I try editing these files and I gather it’s because the timelines don’t run at 30 fps. Any thoughts on what I can do to save this job and make some money?

More likely the format is not supported by Premiere. Download GSpot (free) and analyze the properties of the codec. Best bet might be to convert the video to a more common format.
Premiere Elements might also be able to edit it.

Also remember that in all likelihood “30 FPS” is actually “29.97 FPS”.
