I am interview a group of three people at the same time. In the past I have interviewed just one with a wireless mic.
What is the best/cost effective way to do this? A shotgun? And is it best to have it set up on a stand in the middle or overhead with someone constantly moving it?

    Thanks in advance.

Definitely the second option. Keep the interviewees in a straight line and have the boom op switch between them.

Oh, and make sure to use the correct microphone for the job. Indoors – stick with a hypercardioid pattern; outdoors – a shotgun with a windscreen and/or dead cat. Keep the mic as close to being in frame as possible and have the talent speak clearly and loudly.
