  3 mics into Vegas Pro? via a Mixer if so what make and what DAC?

  I love Vegas and – I dont work for them – CENTRANCE

  But I now need to record Three mics at once, Two mics to one voice talent and one mic for talkback
  These go into a mixer and output via a DAC into one PC with vegas and another pc with source connect

  1) Has anyone done this with I presume a mixer feeding 1 digital interface into Windows? If so any advice on the mixer chosen and digital interface chosen would be most welcome – it has to have two USB outputs….
  2) One to a pc with vegas the other PC with Source Connect
  3) Have I missed something? If not then after years I am pushed to go Mac for this session as it seems to me this is needed when multiple inputs are used with Win

  From my research so far this seems difficult with Windows and I see Mac across so many pro studios

  I could use mics with their own Phantom Power or the mixer could provide this, but the Mixer/DAC would need to be mains powered for sure, not just USB, due to current demand

  I sense I am missing something here, one point being of course I could not alter the mic gains once the combined feed gets to Vegas That could be terminal
