2quests: warping frame rates and 1080p60
hi! this is my first cc post, i hope i am doing it right. i have two issues i would welcome help with.
one has to do with 1080p60:
i have 1080p60 project to work on final cut, and it’s an avchd. i understand i have to convert it, but i am unsure of the best option, and don’t have enough time to experiment at this point, so any feedback is really welcome! ‘read that my choice is between apple’s prores and intermediate codecs, but can’t really tell which and which settings would be better. any suggestions?the other has to do with variable frame rates.
i want to change frame rates of my clips throughout the timeline, sort of like warping sound clips, but don’t know how to do this in final cut. maybe the term for video isn’t warping, so trying to describe what i want to do, it’s something like having a clip run at e.g. 25 fps… than at a certain point in time speed it to e.g. 50, or 100, etc… and than at another point further in time bring it back to 25 fps. this many times throughout the project. is this possible in final cut? can you tell me how?all the best, thank you!
