    Hey guys,

I have some footage that is 2K (2048×1080) and will be editing and delivering in 1920×1080.

When I convert the footage and downscale it to 1920×1080 I get black bars on the top and bottom. How can I get around this? What settings am I missing? Or what the best solution or workflow?

    Thanks

Well…look at the numbers. 1920×1080 is 16:9. Your 2K footage is still 1080 high, but is wider by over 100 pixels…it’s BEYOND 16:9. It’s almost cinema size. You know, how Hollywood movies are still letterboxed on your HDTV that’s 16:9. That’s what you are dealing with now.

How to fix this? Not sure, I’ve never dealt with 2K. Might need to zoom and crop….
