    Hi guys,
Does anyone have experience working with 2K frames on a Mac Book Pro? I have a 10-second shot that will require some compositing and matchmoving, and I’m wondering if my trusty MBP will live up to the task without overheating and exploding in my face.
Any feedback/workflow ideas would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

More important than the MacBook Pro itself is your media drive configuration. You won’t be able to playback 2K without a very serious raid. This is why RED 2K is typically transcoded to something such as ProRes for offline editing.
