Hey so having a bit of an odd export issue.

I have 2000 x 1500 mov footage that I matched in my sequence. When I export I’ve been matching the settings at high quality. However the exports are having strange quirks, like just a few tiny moments of the sequence are randomly coming up black or with a lot of artifacts. It mostly plays fine but I just can’t seem to get it perfect. Yet if I use a 1080p vimeo preset no issues. Surely I should be able to do a 2k export with no probs?

The only factors that are slightly different from my usual projects are that the original footage is a log scan of Super 8 footage (not sure why that should make a difference though?) and I have included a few still photo scans into the sequence which does not match the rest of the sequence settings.

    Any ideas?

I’ve had this kind of thing happen on occasion. Try:

    1) If you’re using the Media Encoder, try a direct export and visa-versa.

    2) If you’re rendering with GPU, try it without, and visa-versa.

Thanks for the reply Larry. I will give this a go and let you know how I get on.

I’ve tried your suggestions Larry, sadly the problem is still persisting. I’ve been trying to export the file as H.264, not sure if that makes a difference with my issue?
