I have 2k & 4k dpx seqs i need to compress them to 720×486 ntsc quicktimes for the edit house to put in their edit for temp visuals. I have the frame focus from the shoot to know how much of the frame is being used in the scan, so i need to also crop my seqs to that frame. I’m on a mac, i know of cleaner xl seems like it could work but i’m on a mac and when i run it on my parallel windows thing the dpx doesn’t show up. Anyone have any ideas for this, basically the easiest with the least amount of steps, as i will have hundreds of these seqs. Thanks.

Forget cleaner, even the Mac version. Both should be able to read DPX, but they are so out of date and buggy, especially when trying to run XL in a ‘virtual’ setup.

You should be looking at getting your hands on Telestream Episode, which can read DPX and is an excellent compression tool.
