  2d transparency to 3d?

  Hi, I want to transform a wine label (done in illustrator) into 3d for applying it on a picture of the bottle.
  I could do it, but I always get a surface on the 3d, while the label has only some text and transparent background. Is there a way to get the transparency intact afetr converting to 3d? or if that is not possible, is there a way to show the image with a plain color, rather than surfaces and lights effects? I just need the label as it is, without any lighting effect.
