I am trying this effect where I pan over the top of a graphic novel, then one of the frames spiral pulls me in (3D depth), like a tornado, and I (the camera) get sucked into it and flash to white.

I am thinking this will need to be a 3D effect.

I have isolated the frame in the book into its own comp. I just dont know how to achieve the 3D suck down effect.

Could someone suggest what approach I should take to achieve this.

    Thanks in advance.

I think it is more a question of how should it look rather than how to do it. In my view, the image would become 3-dimensional so that when the camera gets sucked in, it gets sucked in to a 3D space. Or, rather 2.5D space. And there could be an effect of air (smoke/particles) getting sucked into the picture first before the camera follows. And the right sound is important.
