    Hi,

I have a quite simple 3D projekt with space, a couple of planets and some more stuff. Now I want to get a very organic movement of the camera thruogh the set. To get it look like real life shacking like a holiday video, I filmed a big black dot on a white background and used the tracker to digitize the camera movement … so far so good.

But what is the best way to use these position infos … what is the best way?

I tried already to connect the POI of the Camera with an expression to a NULL object, to which I have applied the tracker results to as new position data … but unfortunatly the movement is not strong and fast enough …

If I try to rerecord the movement faster and more extrem, its too hard for the tracker to follow my sweet black dot …

I am very thankfull for any help …

First, if you apply the tracker data to the X and Y of the POI, then move the z of the POI very close to the camera so that the movement is amplified. Also, you can possibly do a quick expression that multiplies the data by a value of your satisfaction to amplify it.

Or, you can make your camera and comp of higher res by say 20 %, then pre-comp that. Then apply the track data to the precomp position so it shakes like your track data. Also don’t forget to turn on motion blur to give it the full effect.

As a side note, I’ve had a lot of success using the motion sketch tool and a mouse to simulate handheld shaking quite well without getting data from a real track.

additional note. When you apply tracker data, I suggest applying it to a null that the camera is parented to. This way your camera parameters are still free to be animated independently.
