February 25, 2014 at 12:00 amFWIW, I don’t place my monitors side by side. I place then with enough space between then that I can see the larger playback monitor that I have about three feet back. This way I’m always changing my focal length, which relieves a lot of eye strain.

February 25, 2014 at 2:36 amOurs are 24 inch diagonal and are actually a bit wider than 1920 x 1080 native. They have HDMI in as well as VGA and DVI. We use them in studio with 5D and 7Ds with HDMI outs. Light and easy and cheap.
I agree that two 27s are way too wide.

February 25, 2014 at 2:26 pmI know how you feel. I was even contemplating getting the dell 30″ that can rotate and using it in portrait mode. The horizontal would be a tad smaller but so much vertical space..
