25p pal to 1080p
I want to keep storage down and I have noticed that 14:1 in a 25p project is significantly less in bytes then a 1080p using the dnxhd resolution and so i want to offline in a 25p pal project and then later online in a 1080p project.
1. am i right in saying the 1080p allows me to digitize in dnxhd and so will be a hight quality image then the 1:1 in a 25p pal project.
2.can you digitize in a 25p project and do your offline cuts then pass the sequence to a 1080p project for online?

I don’t understand your first question.
But re nr2: of course you can offline in SD 25p and online in HD 25p.
14:1 indeed is much smaller than even DNxHD36. But with the current cost of storage, I fail to see the point. Offlining in HD gives you the benefit of being able to screen your cutting copy in HD.

I may have to transfer the days rushes via the web and so the difference in size of the data makes a significant difference to the transfer time.
