  2.5 g5 10.5.8 can’t get audio out of decklink extreme

  this is so odd. we’ve been running 10.4.11 on our 2.5 g5s for ages and our decklink extreme cards work flawlessly. had a major drive failure and have installed a new system on a new boot drive (10.5.8) and now i just can’t get any audio to play out of our extreme card.

  selecting the correct device in fcp 514 and ‘audio follows video’ and still nothing – video playback to our lcd tvs is fine however. if i select the card as the i/o device in audio midi setup (or system preferences) i get no audio too.

  there must be a simple fix for this. he said hopefully.
