    N stands for “native.”. Meaning 24 native frames per second, not 24 frames within a 29.97 video stream. So no pulldown removal is needed. 24 actual frames per second.

    Ok thanks… Iam using my HDX900.. and they have been using HVX-200 24PN.I can shoot 720/24p but its with pulldown.. should be ok as far as matching dont you think?

    That camera can shoot 720p24 24PN can’t it? It should be able to. But I don’t know that camera.

    Dont think so.. just had 24P… I believe it actually always records at one speed.. and then flags frames to get what you set it to.

    Oh, wait. That is a TAPE based camera…right. yeah, 24p setting on the camera, FCP will remove the frames to get the footage to 23.98…right.

    Nope. I mix Varicam 720p24 footage and HVX-200 24PN footage all the time.
